What kind of event can I have at the Wye River Estate?
The Wye River Estate is ideal for a variety of special events such as weddings, corporate retreats, dinner parties, rehearsal
dinners, bar/bat mitzvahs, and family reunions, just to name a few.
How far ahead should I be looking for a venue for my wedding?
Most Brides begin looking for their wedding venue about a year in advance. The Wye River Estate does not have any
specific time frame needed to book an event. However, the longer you wait to solidify your venue, the more likely you are
to run into availability issues. Check our availability on Party Space.
Do I have to schedule a tour to see the property?
Yes, the Wye River Estate is a private property. Contact us
Where can I have my wedding ceremony?
There are beautiful lawns on the property which can accommodate groups of up to 1000 people. View our photo gallery.
Do I have to rent the entire facility for my event?
You can choose to rent a specified area on the grounds for your event. However, the Manor House is not available for rent.
Is there a bridal suite and/or dressing room?
Yes. There is a cottage attached to the left wing of the house that can be used as a bridal suite and/or changing room. The use of the cottage is included in your rental.
Do you schedule more than one event at a time?
The Wye River Estate will only hold one event at any given time.
Do you have an indoor ceremony location?
We do not have an indoor ceremony location at this time. All events will take place outdoors or underneath tents.
Tents are recommended for all events.
Do I need a tent for my wedding?
Yes, tents are recommended for every event at the Wye River Estate. Contact us for information on our preferred
tenting vendor.
Who will be catering my event?
Chef’s Expressions is the preferred caterer for all events at the Wye River Estate.
Can I also have a rehersal dinner or after-wedding brunch on the Wye River Estate?
Yes, there are several other waterfront locations on the expansive farm property for these occasions.
Are there adequate restroom facilities?
All clients are required to rent restrooms for their event(s). Please contact The Wye River for a list of vendors.
Where can my guests park?
There is a large parking area available to accommodate all guests. Parking assistance/shuttle is strongly recommended.
Is smoking prohibited?
We ask that guests smoke outdoors in specific designated areas.
What is your cancellation policy?
Should the event be cancelled for any reason 120 days or more before the event date, 50% of all payments made to
The Wye River Estate or $500.00, whichever is less, will be returned to the client. If cancellation is less than 120 days but
more than 21 days before the event we will retain all deposits and fees paid. If cancellation is 21 days or less before the
event time, we will retain all amounts paid and you are responsible for paying any and all remaining amounts due under
contract.
